Located in one of the most beautiful destinations in Switzerland in the pure alpine air, 1,500 metres above sea level, Le Régent is the most modern of Swiss international boarding schools. It opened in September 2015 and welcomes nearly 200 students aged 3 to 18, from about 40 different countries, offering a studious yet lively atmosphere thriving on community diversity.
In 2019, Le Régent entered into partnership with Le Rosey, Switzerland’s oldest and most prestigious boarding school, which brings its 140 years of educational experience to assist with the school’s identity, firmly rooted in Switzerland but with a truly international outlook. The Junior School (8-12-year-olds) provides personalised and academically rigorous learning in an international programme, with the right balance of academic and extra-curricular activities.
Secondary students in Le Régent’s vibrant co-educational boarding community prepare for IGCSEs and the IB diploma – or Le Régent’s own Graduation Diploma (which allows for specialization in golf or skiing). Results are excellent with recent graduates admitted to top universities in the US and the UK, including 20% of them to Oxford and Cambridge.
The Crans-Montana area is a perfect setting for an inspiring range of Outdoor Education activities, led by experienced professionals, creating moments of self discovery and increased environmental awareness. And the winter sports offering is exceptional with a skiing area comprising 140 km of pistes rising to nearly 3,000m.
